Democracy Has Died

And our politicians have killed it.
Can you name one politician active right now who you feel that you can trust?  I certainly can't.  It doesn't matter which party you look at.  From Labour through Liberal to the BNP and the Communist party do any of them represent voters any more?  Do they tell lies, wage war and slavishly copy everything they do from the United States?  We now have a Supreme court and a Justice department, with almost no advance notice and zero public debate: remind you of any other country?
Remember Maggie Thatcher and her "Victorian values"; John Major and "Back to basics and moral values".  It doesn't matter how many changes of party in government happen because they are all aiming for the same thing: a return to the time when everyone was afraid of falling into poverty and could be pushed around by employers.  When wages could be cut with impunity and workers sacked without notice.  Anything and everything which can be used to increase profits (and taxes, but only for working people) to the maximum.  We are to be used to fuel economic growth but we are not going to share in its benefits.  That is why immigration has not merely been allowed but encouraged.  That is why a concerted attempt has been made to destroy unions.
So I suggest that we abandon the idea of democracy completely.  What is the point of having a vote?  No matter how you vote taxes keep rising as do water charges, fuel charges and everything else we need to live while the housing shortage grows, schools degenerate and hospitals kill thousands by employing contract cleaners so that their chief executives can receive huge bonuses.  So why not:

BRING BACK THE MONARCHY.
